“It’s an astonishingly common dream. Many of us have it, with numerous reruns throughout our lives. It … usually involves high school or college, sometimes both. And, oddly, it seems to haunt us decades after we last sat in a classroom.”
—Marlene Cimons, Washington Post
I started having the dream a few years ago
The campus is huge and confusing
like an MC Escher creation
I didn’t attend any of my classes all year
I can’t even find where they are
I’m hopelessly lost on campus
trying to show up for the FINAL
the money I spent on tuition is long gone
and I’m going to fail and have to do it all over again
AND there is nothing like that sense of relief when you realize aaaaallllllllll that bullshit was a dream and you can just forget about it and not care
Right?
