flomzinem nº1. now available as a free download

And you can get it here:

at the now ‘dormant’ site where all the 423ZERØ action happened last week.

Just pick your favourite file format:

Or if that’s too fussy, here’s a direct link: flomm.us/zine

We CALLED FOR ART and we GOT IT.

It was streaming in all day – and was far mor than we ever expected.

And then I jumped into magazine making mode and started piecing it all together.

Without a plan. Without a map.

And things were a bit wonky on the LIVE STREAM video front. You can watch SOME of the saved videos here:

PART 3  PART 4  PART 5  PART 6  PART 7  PART 8

And the videos show pretty much wat graphic designers do: Move things around in a given space, on a grid and figure out wat works best. Then go in (and most of this happened after I gave up recording) tear it all apart and start over. ‘Massage everything,’ as I call it until there’s a final product.

In this case, a PDF that could be viewed or printed thru a variety of apps.

My favourite is thru Firefox: Because it has a horizontal scroll option, just like reading a real mag-a-zine:

FLomZINEm Nº1. is digital. It’s printable. It’s 232 pages of FLOMM. ALMOST a September issue.

Almost.

Resolution of images and colour correction? Just didn’t worry about it.

This was MOR to get us all out of our heads and MAKE SOMETHING. WHILE QUARANTINED.

The FIRST ever FLOMM ZINE.

AND FOR MOR on all this, BILL MEAD, MYSELF and MILK SURFACE will have a recap of FLomZINEm Nº1. and the 423 ZERØ experimental site on the next episode of RADíO FLOMM.

HUGE thanks to everyone involved!

WE did this to inspire. While you drink tea, and eat some mac-a-roons.
