I have been think­ing all evening about a dream I had.

It in­volved mak­ing friends with a tiny Chi­nese drag­on whose scales were pat­terned like a Mon­dri­an paint­ing in grayscale, with a speak­ing voice like Ian McK­ellen.

I nick­named him “Drag­o­nista” af­ter a few snarky com­ments he made on the fash­ion tastes of the peo­ple keep­ing him as a pet. He did not find it as cute as I did.

Also

I time trav­eled! But all I used my time trav­el­ing abil­i­ties for was to give my new num­ber to peo­ple I’ve lost con­tact with, and hang out with Andy.

And

Steve Busce­mi was a se­r­i­al killer!

But he was also our land­lord.

And un­less en­tered through in a cer­tain se­quence, all the door­ways in his build­ing end­ed up throw­ing you back out­side, or into a room with Steve Busce­mi in kill mode.

Then I’d respawn back where I start­ed and lost all my progress.

Be­fore

en­tire­ly wak­ing up, I laid in my bed with my eyes open hear­ing what sound­ed like a muf­fled episode of Full House hap­pen­ing im­me­di­ate­ly to my left.

When I rea­soned that there is only a wall there and noth­ing I would have play­ing in my room has a laugh track, I fi­nal­ly awoke the rest of the way … around 5 p.m.
