Why gas prices DON’T up­set me.

I re­mem­ber ra­tioning in the 70s.
I re­mem­ber pick­ing up pen­nies to get enough mon­ey to af­ford a gal­lon of gas.
I re­mem­ber NOT be­ing able to dri­ve be­cause I couldn’t af­ford gas.

“Ve­hic­u­lar Am­brosia”

That is what the Greek god Cash­ios, the “god of cash back” calls gaso­line.

It tru­ly is am­brosia and we take it for grant­ed, we squan­der it to not walk that ¹⁄₂ mile to the post of­fice or walk to the cor­ner store.

We feel it is our right, our des­tiny to use and de­plete.

So the next time you fill the tank on your 4000 lb beast, that can trav­el 80 mph for 18 miles on one gal­lon of fuel, think about the bil­lions of dol­lars and sweat it took to de­liv­er that gal­lon to you and just say,

“Thank you for my Ve­hic­u­lar Am­brosia, it eas­es my life so much.”
