BatLuis is just that 8‑year-old girl they just found in Mex­i­co that has a high­er IQ than Ein­stein.

Also, we claim Dick Grayson as our own.

His fam­i­ly is killed due to the un­safe work­place con­di­tions of said job

Loose ties to or­ga­nized crime through fam­i­ly or friends

Adopt­ed by a well mean­ing White man and taught a world­view that re­framed his trau­ma.

Re­al­ly, just swap out vig­i­lan­tism for Mor­man­ism, Protes­tantism, or Acad­e­mia and it fits.

Why the hu­mor? It helps to frame the hard work of be­ing in a new place and nev­er quite fit­ting in.
