Any­one who still isn’t vac­ci­nat­ed at this point (and doesn’t have a se­ri­ous­ly le­git­i­mate ex­emp­tion doc­u­ment­ed by a rep­utable med­ical pro­fes­sion­al) should be shamed into obliv­ion for their id­io­cy, “re­li­gious” ex­emp­tions be damned.

Omi­cron is no joke. The rea­son we are still at this point is be­cause the virus is mu­tat­ing in the un­vac­ci­nat­ed.

Just got an email from the UW about how they’re post­pon­ing “non-ur­gent surg­eries and pro­ce­dures due to the rapid in­crease in COVID-19 cas­es.”

It’s sad that there’s a very real pos­si­bil­i­ty that it’s only a mat­ter of time be­fore they’re de­cid­ing which very ur­gent surg­eries and pro­ce­dures they’re go­ing to post­pone for the same rea­son.

Aaron and I are in­cred­i­bly for­tu­nate and priv­i­leged that we are two very healthy peo­ple in our late thir­ties, ear­ly for­ties, with good health in­sur­ance.

But bloody fuckin’ hell.

We, un­for­tu­nate­ly, do not live in a world of dic­tio­nary-de­f­i­n­i­tion ig­no­rant vs. sci­ence-ed­u­cat­ed.

It’s so much worse than that.

And be­lieve me, I am well aware of the crazy woo id­iots on the left who are vac­cine skep­ti­cal and think shit like es­sen­tial oils and or­gan­ic en­e­mas will cure them.

Our tol­er­ance of the will­ful­ly stu­pid will be this country’s un­do­ing.
