Ok I have to say a thing.

Jef­frey Ep­stein and com­pa­ny are vile, dis­gust­ing crea­tures who should ALL be held ac­count­able.

And also
I was teenage girl in the 90s and this was NOR­MAL be­hav­ior.

Ob­vi­ous­ly not the pri­vate is­land or­gies, but sex­u­al­iz­ing teenagers? Um … yeah. This was how all men be­haved … teach­ers, dude at the post of­fice, guys who grabbed on the street … they all touched, made com­ments, ex­pect­ed things.

Us pre­tend­ing this was iso­lat­ed be­hav­ior by a few rich creeps eras­es a decade and a half of the life of every woman I know over age 35.

I grew up fight­ing. I also grew up think­ing women had one op­tion (keep­ing very creepy men hap­py so they ei­ther gave you things or at least didn’t mur­der you).

This was for sur­vival and it ap­plied to women at all class lev­els.

This isn’t be­cause I was sad­ly mis­tak­en or be­cause bil­lion­aires did what they do. It’s be­cause cul­tur­al­ly, for a time, it was true.
