I am not this worn out af­ter work­ing in the yard for six hours.

I am not this worn out af­ter three 45-minute ses­sions on my ex­er­cise bike.

I am not even this worn out af­ter walk­ing around at Dis­ney­land for al­most twelve hours at peak crowds.
 

Look­ing back on all the mes­sages about Ca­reers And The Work­place I re­ceived when I was grow­ing up,

it’s very clear that we were all ex­pect­ed to be – or at least func­tion like – Type A Ex­tro­verts.
