I just over­heard the most heart­break­ing­ly sweet con­ver­sa­tion be­tween two el­der­ly gen­tle­men when I took my grand­moth­er to lunch to­day.

gen­tle­man one:
“It’s nice to eat with some­one again, I’ve eat­en alone every­day since my wife died a few years ago. It’s prob­a­bly the same for you.”

gen­tle­man two:
“Yeah. The last time I ate with some­one else was at Christ­mas. My daugh­ter-in-law came by and brought me a cut up wa­ter­mel­on and we sat and had some of that.”

gen­tle­man one:
“I’m glad we met so we don’t have to eat alone any­more.”

gen­tle­man two:
“Me too, this is re­al­ly nice.”
 

Bah! … and if then that wasn’t the most won­der­ful thing, they then start­ed trash­ing Trump.
