Today is #suicidepreventionday
I have lost a family member to suicide, spent hours on the phone talking down some of my best friends, and I have personally struggled with depression my entire life.
There are moments where I realized that I never imagined my present life because I didn’t know if I would make it this far.
Life can be ruthless, but it can also be beautiful.
I’m thankful for every moment I chose to stay and hope to see you live to do the same. ❤️
Can’t relate? (That’s ok)
If you don’t struggle with mental illness, addiction or suicide, one of the best ways you can help is by educating yourself and donating to places the provide support to those in need.
“Talking about mental health does not make you weak”
“We do not have to live that way any more”
@idontmind’s Ask a Therapist series is one of my favorites.
Real therapists answering questions that roam in our minds daily.
While this cannot replace the value of personal therapy or seeking medical help, these exercises help remind you that you are not alone in your struggles:
And in London – new to FLOMM – is @ahxti:
Please check in on your loved ones.
If you don’t know where to start, take the opportunity this week to do some research for yourself.
There is so much more that we can do for each other ❤️
