Anger.

Why are peo­ple so an­gry?
Why am I so an­gry?
Why are you so an­gry?

It’s deep­er than pol­i­tics, it’s deep­er than her emails or sep­a­rat­ing fam­i­lies. Or Mer­cury ris­ing. This new anger is the re­sult of the grow­ing pains of an evo­lu­tion­ary change. We are con­stant­ly con­front­ed with opin­ions, no, de­mands from our own egos. We take every­thing per­son­al­ly, we are ex­treme­ly of­fend­ed at the slight­est thing.

Why?

For me, it’s my ego, my be­lief sys­tem, my co-de­pen­den­cy.

“If every­one would just be­lieve what I be­lieve, the world would be bet­ter.”

As I type this I am hav­ing an over­whelm­ing de­sire to de­fend my be­liefs, to prove my­self right, to prove oth­ers wrong.

Rather than search out truth we search out what ever will sup­port our own be­liefs, our guilt, our fears.

We throw up posts into each oth­er’s faces yelling,
“SEE! You’re an id­iot! I told you so!”
“Get your head out of your ass and open your eyes!”

We at­tack ‘the oth­er side’ with an anger and a ve­he­mence that is wor­thy of one of our strongest Marines.

Change hurts, it is so hor­ri­bly painful and we are all go­ing through some kind of par­a­digm shift.

As we shed our painful skins and step out into the light of day we will ei­ther be fac­ing a brave new world or the end times.
Is it up to us what we will be­come?

I don’t think so.

Evo­lu­tion is hav­ing its way with us all.
