“Allen Ludden died from stomach cancer on June 9, 1981, in Los Angeles … White decided not to remarry, since Ludden’s death. In an interview with Larry King, when asked whether she would remarry, she replied by saying, ‘Once you’ve had the best, who needs the rest?’”

😭😭😭💗
Betty White was a Christian who hoped that when she died, the first thing she’d see was Allen.
I’m not a believer myself, but there is a part of me – the part that loves and cries and misses those who are gone – that wants everyone to somehow get what they hope and dream for themselves after death.
I know we are all sad at her passing and this has been a shit year, but, if she died tomorrow instead of today then people would just be saying how 2022 started off shitty.
I also think it’s kind of epic and badass that she went out on NYE. Not like she chose it of course, but damn.
What a way to leave us. Spectacular, just like the lady herself.
She was almost 100. It was bound to happen. She’s the type of person everyone wishes could live forever.
I’m grateful that I got to be alive at the same time as a person I wished would never die. Those people are few and far between.
To laugh, and make others laugh, are two of the greatest gifts of life.
Cheers to you, Betty. The world won’t be the same without you.
