Read­ing about all the gullible rubes who are com­plete­ly blind­sided that they didn’t get a par­don re­minds me of when I was a kid and I’d eat at a casi­no and I’d watch peo­ple get real ex­cit­ed about *al­most* win­ning Keno.

And then they wouldn’t win.
And then they’d buy an­oth­er Keno tick­et.
Re­peat.

They get to spend a ma­jor­i­ty, if not the rest, of their lives think­ing about the fact that he did not come through for them or give one shit about them.

Like, of course
he wasn’t gonna
par­don you,
ya dum­mies.
If you were
bleed­ing to death
on the street,
he’d step over
you on his way to
get a Big Mac.

Also, I don’t know who needs as­sis­tance un­der­stand­ing this very im­por­tant point, but just be­cause some­one gets sucked into QAnon or any oth­er con­spir­a­cy the­o­ry, it doesn’t mean they have a men­tal ill­ness, nor should it be a fac­tor in con­sid­er­ing if they have one.

In fact, it would be cool if peo­ple just stopped throw­ing that around any time some­one doesn’t fit into their ex­treme­ly un­re­al­is­tic, in­ac­cu­rate view of hu­man­i­ty.
