transit profiling

It was an in­ter­est­ing trip on the ride home.

At one of the stops some kids board­ed, they were about high school age. As one of them passed he yelled,

“Don’t vote for Trump!”
 

He kept mov­ing around to dif­fer­ent seats be­hind me and say­ing it, then he got right be­hind me, shout­ing right into my ears.

“Don’t vote for Trump!”

             “Don’t vote for Trump!”

                          “Don’t vote for Trump!”
 

Fi­nal­ly, I turned around and asked him why he seems to be di­rect­ing this at me. And be­fore he could an­swer I sim­ply asked,

“Is it be­cause i am the only white per­son on the train at the mo­ment?”

He looked dead in my face and said,

“Yes, you look like a racist Trump fol­low­er.”

I laughed and said,

“First off I nev­er liked the A‑hole and I sure as hell am not vot­ing for him.

“As for be­ing racist, I’m afraid the only one here that is act­ing that way is you for pro­fil­ing me as a Trump fol­low­er – just for the sole rea­son that I am white.”

He gave me a dirty look –

And one of his friends smacked him in the head and told him to just shut up and leave me alone.

We rode in si­lence the rest of the way un­til they got off.

The friend that hit him apol­o­gized to me,

“Don’t mind him, he’s an id­iot.”
