film premiere: tiny homes, ‘a model for disaster relief’

This short documentary follows a heartfelt tiny house building project in response to the deadliest fire in California history in 2018 – The Camp Fire – that destroyed Paradise and surrounding Butte County communities.”

I’m excited to share with you the debut of my latest producing project, a short documentary called ReBuilding Butte directed by brilliant local filmmaker and my NELP Leader sister Amanda Lipp.

Please join us for the virtual premiere, or if you’re in NorCal, a drive-in screening to watch the film together 🎥

Our virtual event will include guest speakers from Tiny House Magazine, CLIF Bar, Chegg, and Tiny Homes for Fire Survivors.

When I first learned about Tiny Homes for Fire Survivors, I volunteered as a builder. This evolved into a two-year filmmaking journey and discovering that tiny houses have become a ‘tiny but mighty’ solution around the world in response to major social and environmental issues we face today – like homelessness, reducing our carbon footprint, and families navigating displacement from wildfires.”
—Amanda Lipp, director

Thank you to our donors and partners and my former student Jordan Radach who all made this production possible! Hope to see you at one of these events 🏠
