I phone banked on Saturday for Harris. I had tech issues – which seems about right – and it was my first time so I ended up only making 6 or 7 calls.
One guy I spoke with for maybe 10 minutes or more. Nice guy. Didn’t like Trump but was leaning his way.
He was polite and seemed open to different opinions. He watched the Oprah interview where he thought Harris dodged questions and answers.
He said he thought there were no school shootings during Trump’s term. Easily proven wrong with a Google search.
He said because Harris’s father was a professor, she was lying about being middle class.
He didn’t think Harris could hold her own against world leaders.
He wanted a policy or two that Harris holds that would help his family.
I asked him why he thought Putin would listen to Trump.
He mentioned grocery prices.
We ended it thanking each other but I have thought about the conversation since. Running it through my mind.
If I spoke with him again (I will not – it doesn’t work that way), I would ask what specifically will Trump do to lower prices? What would Trump say to world leaders that would stop them from attacking Ukraine or reject peace talks in Israel?
How would Trump improve people’s lives??
This guy was probably open to changing, but still seemed resistant.
He would probably vote for Trump even though he doesn’t like him.
