Here’s your
morning comedy break – from the Wikipedia page on HBO’s Girls (2012–17):
“[Judd] Apatow said he was drawn to [Lena] Dunham’s imagination after watching her independent feature film Tiny Furniture (2010), and added that Girls would provide men with an insight into ‘realistic females.’”
Not only do I not trust Lena Dunham to provide anyone with an insight into anything, let alone ‘realistic females,’ I also don’t trust Judd Apatow to decide what would.
And I’d
like to go on record and say I hated Lena Dunham before it was cool. She basically lacks self awareness about how horrible she is.
When someone is getting paid that much money – without self awareness – and instead is really just promoting her personal brand of awful, I don’t care if it’s Ivanka selling her designer knock-off shoes, or Lena Dunham accidentally making fun of privileged white girls.
She’s basically a huge piece of shit who sucks.
And I
don’t need to watch Girls to know that the ‘females’ exist in Girls exist in real life and are just as bad if not worse than they are in Girls.
Taking the foot off the gas now. ❤️
