I get tired and rest­less over women’s is­sues.

I get so pas­sion­ate­ly up­set but I don’t know how to con­vey the mes­sage I want. It both­ers me on a day to day ba­sis that there’s so much neg­a­tiv­i­ty loom­ing around be­ing a woman. That there is no up­heaval that we hold women to. A pedestal that should be ours is one in cel­e­bra­tion of the beau­ty women em­body.

Plen­ty of this re­sides in my own ex­pe­ri­ences, dark­ness mixed with friends who turn a blind eye or ut­ter words stat­ing they be­lieved in gos­sip, a fal­si­ty.

And it’s not just this one is­sue, sev­er­al go leaps and bounds around the world. To ex­tremes of mu­ti­la­tion to sav­ing the vic­tims in which I see a cor­re­la­tion of the same mes­sage done in ‪#‎bodysham­ing‬ and ‪#‎slut­sham­ing‬.

We tell women to be ashamed of their bod­ies, tell them to not un­veil the beau­ti­ful process of feed­ing the life they gave birth to, tell them they need these clothes and how dare it be these clothes for it will evoke, how dare you have this body part be­cause it evokes, and how dare you go out un­pro­tect­ed in some way, and how dare you trust!

There’s no trust in this so­ci­ety be­cause there is no grounds in which peo­ple stand and hold oth­ers to. We try. But we don’t have an­swers and for what we don’t have an­swers, we lock away undis­cussed, left to con­tin­ue breed­ing as a sick­ness over the world we share.

It’s hard to over­come some­thing when the snakes fangs are still in you. And they won’t let go. And as you try and pull them off an­oth­er quick­ly charms its way in. I only hope for a day it will change. ‪
