The world is threatened by my power and my stamina. My intelligence and my will to survive.
But they will never break me

OK Boomer.
You look like hell. That’s not why you should be dragged, but our youth-obsessed culture obviously drives the compulsion to turn yourself into a living Madame Tussaud’s installment.
It’s unfortunate and sad. But here you are saying you won’t be broken.
But you’ve fucked with your face so much, I’m not sure you’re so firm in that conviction.
Madonna is the de facto Queen of Pop and she’s worth almost a cool billion. She has more power and control than anyone can imagine.
And while I can respect the contributions Madge has made to the music industry and the boundaries she’s pushed, I can also think her extreme plastic surgery looks terrible and that she’s being tone deaf about her obscene wealth and privilege.
These things aren’t mutually exclusive.
She set the standard during the 80s by which every other female pop artist was measured – for more than a good twenty years.
But that’s not being a rebel. That’s being mainstream.
And while she started out very much a rebel, she has not been for a very, very, very long time.
Women don’t have to universally support every other woman in everything they do. Women are capable of doing dumb shit and we do dumb shit because we’re human.
There’s a difference between arbitrarily shitting on someone just because you’re a misogynist and calling out dumb shit.
This is the latter.
