And you can still be ‘con­ser­v­a­tive’ but if the GOP is no longer ac­tu­al­ly con­ser­v­a­tive then you’re just be­ing Re­pub­li­can, which is just a team name that can mean any­thing the cult wants it to at any time.

Here’s some­thing you can use if you run into a “Not all Re­pub­li­cans” Re­pub­li­can:

To pre­tend that Re­pub­li­cans aren’t mono­lith­ic be­comes flim­si­er *every sin­gle time* they get the White House (ya know with­out a pop­u­lar vote man­date or any­thing sil­ly like that) and then have to de­fend in­de­fen­si­ble non­sense from aw­ful lead­ers. Then they pull that “um er I’m uh in­de­pen­dent” horse­shit while still vot­ing straight R down the line.

Every re­pub­li­can is re­spon­si­ble for this garbage fire of an ad­min­is­tra­tion and their si­lence at its worst as­pects (of which there are so so many) is the same as en­dorse­ment.

So that “no true Scots­man” shit doesn’t play.
