damn sound system and custom white pu leather interior blinded my senses

Nev­er ever buy a car with an IN­TER­NAL WA­TER PUMP be­cause when it fails it leaks by the al­ter­na­tor so you don’t even know it’s go­ing and then it caus­es fuck­ing CAT­A­STROPH­IC en­gine fail­ure.

Wa­ter pumps go, es­pe­cial­ly the bear­ings, it’s a rou­tine fix like breaks, clutch­es, hoses, etc – a nor­mal part of en­gine wear and tear but this THIS is bad en­gi­neer­ing on every fuck­ing lev­el.

Here’s what I have to deal with and at­tempt to fix be­cause of this bull­shit ass de­sign:

The sin­gle bear­ing (yep ONE bear­ing in this pump) wore out lead­ing to the wa­ter pump shaft to jam into the cam chain ten­sion­er and lock it, snap­ping the tim­ing chain. The cam, of course, got out of sync with the crank shaft and caused the valves to stay open on the num­ber six cylin­der and be­cause the pis­ton was still mov­ing it slammed into the valve and blew a hole into the pis­ton, prob­a­bly bent the valve and valve guide and may have dam­aged the cylin­der head (to be dis­cov­ered …)
