Pres­i­dent Trump took off in Air Force One 1 hr 20 min­utes ago, but thou­sands of his sup­port­ers re­main strand­ed on a dark road out­side the ral­ly. “We need at least 30 more bus­es,” an Om­a­ha po­lice of­fi­cer just said, shak­ing his head at the chaot­ic clus­ter that is un­fold­ing.

EAR­LI­ER TONIGHT,

Trump BUSSED sup­port­ers in to his Om­a­ha ral­ly then when it end­ed he bailed on Air Force One and pro­vid­ed NO BUSSES to take them back.

It’s wrong to think of this as an over­sight. This is a line item. And one eas­i­ly sac­ri­ficed.

Om­a­ha is cold as hell late Oc­to­ber. It’s 32ºF in Om­a­ha right now.

Tho I should note that this may seem like I’m talk­ing about some­one who is 166 years old. They also wouldn’t need help ei­ther.

 

For my Cal­i­for­nia friends: I must also note that Om­a­ha isn’t a place you can get places with­out a car. At all.

Most streets don’t even both­er with a side­walk since every­one dri­ves every­where and ⁸⁄₁₀ of the pop­u­la­tion are land man­a­tees that will dri­ve around a park­ing lot for 2 hours rather than park 100 feet from the doors.

 

BUT WAIT,

res­cue bus­es are around the cor­ner,

along with the health­care plans …
