We’re pret­ty much keep­ing things open/extremely flex­i­ble – as usu­al. Themes this year are DADAISM, AIR TRAV­EL and, of course, the Leg­endary GEORGE KENNEDY.

ART
WE’RE look­ing for PAINT­INGS, PHO­TOG­RA­PHY, IL­LUS­TRA­TION, SCULP­TURE, DE­SIGN, just about any­thing that falls in the cat­e­go­ry of ‘ART.’

HELL, the GEORGE KENNEDY trib­ute doesn’t even have to con­tain any­thing re­lat­ed to GEORGE KENNEDY. That’s, like, how we roll.

WRIT­ING
THE WRIT­TEN WORKS of AU­THORS,  JOUR­NAL­ISTS, PO­ETS, HIS­TO­RI­ANS, THE­O­RISTS, DADAISTS, STU­DENTS, MA­NI­ACS, and pret­ty much ANY­ONE WHO MAKES WORDS of SOME SORT. AND they don’t ac­tu­al­ly have to be WORDS.

PAGE SIZE for FlomZINEm has changed: We are shrink­ing every­thing down to US Let­ter FOLD­ED in half (8.5 x 5.5″).

Sub­mis­sions can be (8.5 x 11″) but note, cor­rect pag­i­na­tion will be ig­nored (look it up) so pages will not have num­bers and will not ap­pear across from each oth­er – un­less you find a way to get it to work on your own print­er.

Yes, for FlomZINEm N°2. all the pages will be out of or­der.

And as a re­sult, every sin­gle print­ed edi­tion of FlomZINEm N°2. will be unique.

Be­cause DADA.

With this is mind – in the best ver­sion of our uni­verse – all art­work will be CYMK-friend­ly, colour cor­rect­ed with pix­el-based im­ages at 300 dpi and vec­tor files ready to print.

Tho, we do not live in a per­fect uni­verse, so we’re go­ing to do this again: WE’LL AC­CEPT ANY­THING YOU SEND US.

AND if it doesn’t print well or if you can’t see it in the ZINE cause it’s too light or too dark, well, too bad. Blame DADA.

The rest:

•  First come first served for space in the ZINE.

•  We re­serve the right to edit and sim­ply not use every­thing sub­mit­ted. If some ma­te­ri­als bet­ter fit our blogs, we will let you know.

•  Please let us know how you’d like to be cred­it­ed. Real name or not. We would love to pro­mote your so­cial net­works or web­site on at least one of your pages.

•  Copy­right: You own your own copy­right. We will cred­it ALL sub­mis­sions on our ti­tle page (wher­ev­er it falls) with a cir­cle © un­less you state oth­er­wise.

•  All work must be your own. Cause if it isn’t, that’s not cool. Ma­te­ri­als used in col­lages are re­al­ly an ex­cep­tion this time out.

•  Text must be in a text file or a Google Doc (pre­ferred). Un­less it is art­work. Please do not send us text in a Pho­to­shop file un­less it’s art.

•  For large art files please use Google Dri­ve, Drop­box or some­thing sim­i­lar.

•  Flat­ten your damn Pho­to­shop file! If your files are too large and we can­not down­load them, we prob­a­bly won’t in­clude them in the ZINE.

•  We re­serve the right to change all this in case we for­got some­thing here. We didn’t have a lot of prob­lems last year. Fin­gers still crossed.

•  Yes, we are us­ing Flickr and Amer­i­ca ‘You Got Mail’ On­line. Glad you no­ticed.
