Both Tarantino and Nolan worked in 70mm for their most recent projects.

Nolan had the sense to use it to go outside and shoot big things.

I mean,

I like a good Panavision shot of wooden cabinet for 6 and a half hours as much as the next guy,

but

Hateful 8 could have been shot on a phone and not really changed all that much.
