mother! and that is wat great art does

I don’t re­al­ly care about Moth­er! the movie, but I love that it an­gered lots of peo­ple who went to see it.

So put my Cin­e­maS­core down as an A++ for in­fu­ri­at­ing movie­go­ers.

Maybe Moth­er! is amaz­ing, maybe it’s ter­ri­ble. One thing I *do* know is that 9 times out of 10, if some­one says a movie was ‘dumb,’ it’s gen­er­al­ly be­cause they them­selves are dim or have aw­ful taste. There’s just some­thing about how peo­ple dis­mis­sive­ly use that word in par­tic­u­lar.

It’s like it comes from the same place where some­one takes per­son­al of­fense that some­thing dares to try some­thing dif­fer­ent. There’s a hint of feel­ing threat­ened in it.

Art should pro­voke Re­ac­tion.

Thomas saw Ex­plo­sions in the Sky on an off night and he climbed on stage and beat up the band. More of THAT please.

Christy’s last flick was so po­lar­iz­ing that it made me com­mit iden­ti­ty theft against some­one that wasn’t even in­volved in its pro­duc­tion.

We need more of that and less gi­ant ex­pen­sive movies no one can re­mem­ber see­ing.

Also, I haven’t seen It but I think it’s bull­shit that that’s not the clown’s name. Bruce Willis is also named Die Hard in that se­ries of films.
