Your local small business has basically been working for free for the last two years.
Why?
The cost of their materials increased exponentially.
And yes, their prices may have changed to reflect that but I assure you … they took the blunt of the expense.
We absorbed inflation like kevlar.
We chose our craftsmanship over a payday.
We chose you. Our community and clients.
At this point all of us mom and pop shops have a shelf life.
We are aging like greek yogurt.
With respect to dairy, this will get ugly.
While these are the market forces of a completely new economy, it’s just nice to be romantic and anachronistic for a bit longer.
Here’s to being foolish.
