They are try­ing.

They aren’t turn­ing around to erad­i­cate the hu­man nui­sances that are the root of their plight. They aren’t de­stroy­ing us.

What did we do in the 1950s when Orca were a nui­sance to pil­lag­ing coastal in­dus­tries? We mur­dered Or­cas on sight. In front of their pods.

Oc­ca­sion­al­ly turned them into dog food but usu­al­ly we left them die.
