This past spring, I was ho­n­oured to have a square piece of flomm qui­et­ly make an ap­pear­ance at the 2015 Ko­rea So­ci­ety of Ba­sic De­sign & Art Spring In­vi­ta­tion­al Ex­hi­bi­tion. The exhibit’s theme was Ba­sic De­sign, Art, and Hu­man­ism.

Ti­tled Flom­mist Com­po­si­tion No67: Ete! – this ab­stract col­lage was made from ty­pog­ra­phy, found ob­jects and pho­tog­ra­phy. In­clud­ed were can­dids of flom­mists Rik­ki More­house and BAMR.

The con­cept re­flects cur­rent events – and is my com­men­tary on how hu­man suf­fer­ing is ra­tio­nal­ized by The Pow­ers That Be.

In go­ing for­ward with Flomm as a ‘me­dia art project,’ this was the first new piece of flom­mist art­work to ap­pear out­side of the game. My plan is to cre­ate more squares to com­plete a se­ries.

The 2015 KS­B­DA In­ter­na­tion­al Spring Ex­hi­bi­tion was held from the 30 May thru 3 June 2015 at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Seoul in Ko­rea. Ex­hib­it­ed were 479 works from 15 coun­tries.
