my brain (even though we ain’t goin’ anywhere or doin’ jack shit):
“It’s noon. Better get moving if you’re going to get anything done today before you want to have fun.”
also my brain:
“Lol you have nowhere to go and nothing to do.”
Americans are fascinatingly unique in that they are expertly selective when deciding what will and won’t happen to them.
Ignoring all data driven statistics and facts,
they’re convinced they will become rich,
and they won’t catch Covid-19,
even though the opposite scenario is infinitely more likely to happen.
Also, bad things only happen to bad people,
think positively,
good vibes,
don’t worry about it,
live laugh love,
blah blah blah.
We really are a “Christian nation” in the sense that we firmly believe in the impossible and we scoff at the probable.
