What good does being disturbed by humanity do … ?
I’ve always felt it, as early as kindergarten, when I saw these boys trap and stomp a lizard to death on purpose.
And even earlier than that, began a lifelong sense that I wasn’t FROM here, didn’t really want to be here.
I’ve struggled internally as the world has grown more bizarre, artificial, and imbalanced in my lifetime, and meanwhile count myself amongst the relatively small group of people who see what’s happening and underwrite their everyday habits with knowledge of their effect on the planet, each other, and all living beings.
In the last few months especially, I am working with the power of grief as a tool, and know that righteous anger can be used for good – both are driving forces if you’re intentional about them.
So what, with the capabilities of our gigantic, transcendent, infinitely powerful minds, are we doing?
How are we living, eating, breathing, recalibrating, rebalancing, regrounding, cleansing, healing … ?
I know we’re all tired. But finding the answers to these questions is a better use of energy than absorbing the disturbia.
Feel the grief of what we’ve done and where we’re at, and let it change you.
I am sorry, children, for the damage done during the wait.
