There is con­sid­er­able
over­lap in the Venn di­a­gram be­tween peo­ple who es­pouse con­spir­a­cy the­o­ries and think the gov­ern­ment is out to get you and are will­ing to storm the Capi­tol in Trump’s name, and peo­ple who will­ing­ly hand­ed over their SSN, TIN, cred­it card in­for­ma­tion, and gov­ern­ment-is­sued pho­to ID to Par­ler so they could LARP as a fourth-Re­ich Nazi.

Lol just kid­ding there’s no over­lap – it’s a sin­gle cir­cle.

And right now
there are STILL peo­ple re­ply­ing to Face­book posts who are blam­ing so­cial me­dia plat­forms for this coun­try “be­ing so di­vid­ed” while still ar­gu­ing (on those very same plat­forms) that all we re­al­ly need is “sit down and have a con­ver­sa­tion face to face” to work out “our dif­fer­ences” and come up with so­lu­tions, or any oth­er dumb vari­a­tion there­of.

First of all, if you think this coun­try is di­vid­ed be­cause some peo­ple val­ue the lives of any­one who isn’t white and they be­lieve that the pres­i­dent should be elect­ed by the will of the peo­ple, while oth­ers don’t, just fuck off.

Sec­ond­ly, “sit­ting down and hav­ing a con­ver­sa­tion doesn’t fuck­ing work. And quit ask­ing the peo­ple who are be­ing tar­get­ed and killed to plead with their abusers and mur­der­ers for recog­ni­tion of their hu­man­i­ty and ba­sic rights.

Also, af­ter WWII, the Nazis didn’t turn around and say, “Gosh I feel so aw­ful about what I did! I was wrong! I’m go­ing to spend the rest of my life feel­ing re­morse­ful and try­ing to right my wrongs.”

Nope. They fucked off to Ar­genti­na be­fore they could get caught and put on tri­al and they hat­ed the Jews and be­lieved in aryan su­prema­cy un­til the day they died.

Af­ter the events of last week, quit let­ting peo­ple tow that line or agree­ing with them just be­cause they’re your friends or fam­i­ly.
