November is going to be   L I T

I haven’t made music in over 6 years,
and after a few intense days of no sleep,
I am now ready to announce
my very first   N F T   project –

BRAND ART  +  MUSIC
mixed and mastered by me
with the official drop on 15 November 2022 (my birthday!)

All of the images of angels I had growing up portrayed them as white.

I wanted to reimagine a world where those in charge of creation, protection, creativity, love, and guardianship looked like me.

In all my time in church, angels were the one aspect that was not discussed. They were elusive. We knew they had egos (Satan and the fallen angels), and it was understood that some were neither men nor women. Aside from the random stories that further shrouded them in mystery, who and what were they?

It is here where the inspiration for my Social Impact Gen_esis NFT project came to life:

The Black Archangel Gen_esis Collection is an AI series of 7 original/77 generative works with original music included.

Each generative output is a love letter to the African Diaspora. A series of angels and heroes have been reinvented to have the look and feel of what is commonly found in traditional Renaissance paintings. This series is meant to speak directly to those who might need protection from deities that would understand them.

Angels became the north star that became the foundation for Social Justice as a Spiritual Practice (SJSP).

SJSP is the first religion of its kind, I founded it to provide a means to make protest more accessible and safe by subversively and legally positioning the practice of protest as a religious act.

SJSP also offers a new attitude towards protest based on a radically inclusive self-care approach. A spiritual framework that offers peaceful protestors an extra layer of protection under the 1st Amendment of the Constitution (religious freedom).

SJSP is a 501c3 – to donate: paypal.me/sjspractice1
