I used to collect laundry measuring scoops back when I was a kid.
Something about their translucent plastics and pleasant olfactory essence appealed to my hoarding instinct.
My collection eventually melted in the Great Dishwasher Upheaval of 1992.
I chose the Pots and Pans setting with a long dry time.
The idea of plastic items returning to their primordial oily origins was my first true bout with fatalism.
Everything I own is plastic puddle.
Then the question arose, “Am I a mold too?”
I should have collected rocks.
