“In the meantime
one would be careful not to confuse
absence of knowledge with
knowledge of absence.”
—John Hick
Frankly,
laying naked in bed with homework isn’t as good as homework in a bath with candles.
But that’ll do donkey, that’ll do.
I might just be feeling this way because it was Leg Day Sunday.
Here’s what I’m studying:
John Hick’s discussion/philosophy on immortality and resurrection. I have to say my psychology and philosophy courses have touched upon so many concepts I try to process now since I lost my mother.
Confronting these subjects have lead to a few tearing up and almost tearing up moments in class. But diving into these depths and having such resonating passion come to the surface is beautiful.
It’s brought me a level of seriousness. I want to use this to help people. With every word I write it helps me release, but I’ve come to realize all my vulnerable wounds shown and unearthed in many ways – painting, writing, photography, plain flat out listening – connects to all those I’ve held close as friends.
On this platform I decided to give that outwards on a grander scale. It’s a big risk. But any responses keep this real and keep it moving forward.
At some point, I fear the reverse. I’m an artist – that’s simply what happens to us. But you are as well.
