Can we fucking stop already with plus sized models?
Why can’t all models just be called models ?
At best,
plus size capitalizes off the outrage of women at impossible beauty standards – basically making money off the psychological damage the modeling industry has caused –
At worst,
it continues to perpetuate the idea that these women are still somehow not a normal size,
they are different,
they are plus,
and therefore go into a different category
(imagine me hard eyerolling at all of this).
Look, marketing jerks,
all we really need from models is for them to be babes and babes come in a variety of packaging:
Ashley Graham is a babe.
Kate Upton is a babe.
Geena Rocero is a babe.
I enjoy looking at all of these women,
you don’t have to put them in
separate categories,
just keep it diverse so we can all be represented and connect with your brand.
It’s not fucking rocket science.
