Your ‘warn­ing’ is wild­ly con­de­scend­ing and lit­tle more than a veiled at­tempt to dele­git­imize the very real con­cerns of the dis­en­fran­chised in the coun­try rep­re­sent­ed by Bernie.

Not to men­tion
the un­der­ly­ing the­sis that you’re butt hurt be­cause peo­ple have right­ly felt be­trayed by the in­con­sis­ten­cy be­tween the evan­ge­lism of your cam­paign and the na­ture of your Pres­i­den­cy.

Now
you may not have the trag­ic ig­no­rance and sil­ver spoon gump­tion of your pre­de­ces­sor but still,
            your for­eign pol­i­cy has been a dis­as­ter,
            the eco­nom­ic ‘growth’ has only ben­e­fit­ted the wealth­i­est among us,
            the health­care re­form was a give­away to the health in­sur­ance com­pa­nies,
and though, I will ac­knowl­edge some pos­i­tive mo­men­tum,
but if we’re be­ing hon­est,
how much of that progress has been pro­pelled by the zeit­geist and was not nec­es­sar­i­ly a re­flec­tion of the ef­fi­ca­cy of your guid­ing po­lit­i­cal ide­ol­o­gy?

Now
un­like many of the dis­ap­point­ed Lib­er­als, I read your bi­og­ra­phy and the mo­ment I saw the words “in­spired by Clin­ton’s third way” I knew you would only bring a ne­olib­er­al­ist half-mea­sure to the over­haul of the sta­tus quo we so des­per­ate­ly need.

So
you’ll for­give me if I don’t cow­er un­der the threat of the Right wing boo­gie­man when it is the the­o­ret­i­cal un­der­cur­rent in­form­ing your eco­nom­ic val­ues.

The thing is
it’s al­ways easy to sit in your ivory tow­er and de­clare “let them eat cake” when the peas­ants are starv­ing in the streets, but to dis­miss the le­git­i­mate calls of the Left for po­lit­i­cal re­form as the same mis­guid­ed dog­ma­tism as the con­trar­i­an, back­ward-lean­ing, ty­coon-spon­sored Tea Par­ty is wild­ly un­der­es­ti­mat­ing how deeply your ver­sion of democ­ra­cy has failed the work­ing peo­ple of this coun­try.

So no, PO­TUS
even in the face of the best ef­forts of the har­bin­gers of the hide­bound, the nec­es­sary un­com­pro­mis­ing im­per­a­tive of the Left will not bar­rel us to­ward some omi­nous fate of di­vi­sion and ob­struc­tion­ism be­cause frankly, I have news for you, that is what your lega­cy of ‘co­op­er­a­tion’ has been.
