“We must reject any thinking of our cities as a ‘battlespace’ that our uniformed military is called upon to ‘dominate.’ At home, we should use our military only when requested to do so, on very rare occasions, by state governors. Militarizing our response, as we witnessed in Washington, D.C., sets up a conflict – a false conflict – between the military and civilian society. It erodes the moral ground that ensures a trusted bond between men and women in uniform and the society they are sworn to protect, and of which they themselves are a part. Keeping public order rests with civilian state and local leaders who best understand their communities and are answerable to them.”
—James Mattis, former U.S. Secretary of Defense
Four-star Marine General Mattis now says Trump a threat to the US Constitution – but I’m torn –
because a foothills loser that was in the Marine Reserves says Trump is “a superpatriot whos been treated unfairly.”
WHO TO BELIEVE!??
If you’re a marine and your response to Mattis’ eloquent, pointed takedown of Trump is that he’s “disgruntled” or a “RINO,” you are revealing what you really think about the Marine Corps and most damningly the worthlessness of your own service.
If you really believe that a four star Marine General can be swayed by petty partisan grudges, let alone workplace ones, you’re telling on yourself and your absolute lack of character and patriotism.
What is a Marine then? What are you?
