Flowers die and chocolate gives you cavities.
And I didn’t think that I would ever have to constantly feel as though I’m being looked down upon for not following (what is seen to some as) traditional bias-gender-roles. It’s 2017 people let’s get with the program.
I’m not a radical feminist nor an entitled women, I believe in equality of the sexes, male, female, & those who do not identify as either or both. As a human being I believe in working hard and obtaining an education. I’m not in the category of a ‘house wife,’ submissive female, or any other type of offensive gender role verbiage.
There is nothing wrong with being a homemaker, but it is offensive if used in a negative context or used in a way that you are obligated to oblige based on the genitalia that you were born with. I will be glad when most of the old traditions die off and the following generations will be able to take the lead. Yes there are some things one group is better at doing then the other, not only as individuals but as groups.
Still, … men, women, and others, that work hard to earn a place in this world deserve respect for their own lifestyles and decisions unless used to harm another. Society isn’t one straight path way, it’s a collaborative collective working together in unison.
Rant over.
Otherwise, here are things I cannot wait for as it gets colder:
1.
Baking all the time.
2.
Not wearing a bra to work, because sweaters.
3.
Not shaving.
4.
Thanksgiving and pie.
5.
Watching YouTube videos of people the day after Black Friday shopping.
Nema and I created a sourdough starter (live culture.) It’s basically going to be our new pet since we will have to feed, water, and refrigerate it.
Now what to name our new food baby?
They will have siblings soon.
