When­ev­er Cal­i­for­nia is burn­ing down or Wash­ing­ton is flood­ing or Port­land is ex­pe­ri­enc­ing a lot of grow­ing pains com­ing out of its white su­prema­cy lin­eage, there’s nev­er a short­age of com­ments on news ar­ti­cles about how this coun­try would be bet­ter off if every­one on the west coast fell into the Pa­cif­ic Ocean and drowned, et al.

Texas is no doubt filled with a lot of peo­ple I’m sure I’d prob­a­bly re­al­ly fuck­ing hate should I ever meet them, but I don’t want them to freeze or starve to death or die of de­hy­dra­tion. (Some of my friends live there and they’re just as frus­trat­ed by those types as I am.)

This is a tragedy.

I don’t think peo­ple are in­her­ent­ly good OR bad, but Ted Cruz is one of those peo­ple who re­al­ly tips my scales to­ward bad.
 

 

I was wish­ing he’d take a tum­ble down an es­ca­la­tor and then get sucked into the con­vey­or belt at the bot­tom.
