I’m an old (very) white guy that grew up in Ne­bras­ka.

If any­one has the right to be a big­ot­ed MAGA id­iot I think I just might.

But I’m not.

I grew and evolved.

When­ev­er I’m back in Ne­bras­ka vis­it­ing old friends and fam­i­ly peo­ple looooove to drop this stuff into con­ver­sa­tion.

Not that I blame them. They live in Ne­bras­ka so they need to be­lieve that Cal­i­for­nia is a failed state to cope.
 

Peo­ple are what they do and what they will al­low.

If some­one is evil and they sup­port evil things, they aren’t nice be­cause they are nice to you. They just hope you’re evil too.

And yes, re­pub­li­cans in 2022 are evil. Every one of them. Even your rel­a­tives.
 

Re­pub­li­cans just in­tro­duced a fed­er­al Don’t Say Gay bill, and it’s much worse than the Flori­da ver­sion.

It’d de­fund any school, hos­pi­tal, or in­sti­tu­tion that ex­pos­es mi­nors to any LGBTQ+ ma­te­ri­als — or even LGT­BQ+ staff.

This is on the bal­lot.

If you vote for these mon­sters es­pe­cial­ly on the off chance that it might maybe pos­si­bly make gas cheap­er, you’re a de­fec­tive mis­fire of a per­son.

This night­mare is the world we live in when you al­low friends and fam­i­ly to be MAGA with­out push­back.

Your gym­nas­tics in ser­vice of “ci­vil­i­ty” have robbed the coun­try of its own ci­vil­i­ty.
 

Yeah, I get that you’re tired of hear­ing how every elec­tion is “the most im­por­tant elec­tion ever” but re­pub­li­cans keep mak­ing that true through their bad faith, fas­cist thirst, and back­wards “Chris­t­ian” atavism.

They will nev­er be sat­is­fied and need to be shut down. Here and now. To­day.

Vote their horde back into the shad­ows where it be­longs. Every­thing de­pends on it.
