Anger.
Why are people so angry?
Why am I so angry?
Why are you so angry?
It’s deeper than politics, it’s deeper than her emails or separating families. Or Mercury rising. This new anger is the result of the growing pains of an evolutionary change. We are constantly confronted with opinions, no, demands from our own egos. We take everything personally, we are extremely offended at the slightest thing.
Why?
For me, it’s my ego, my belief system, my co-dependency.
“If everyone would just believe what I believe, the world would be better.”
As I type this I am having an overwhelming desire to defend my beliefs, to prove myself right, to prove others wrong.
Rather than search out truth we search out what ever will support our own beliefs, our guilt, our fears.
We throw up posts into each other’s faces yelling,
“SEE! You’re an idiot! I told you so!”
“Get your head out of your ass and open your eyes!”
We attack ‘the other side’ with an anger and a vehemence that is worthy of one of our strongest Marines.
Change hurts, it is so horribly painful and we are all going through some kind of paradigm shift.
As we shed our painful skins and step out into the light of day we will either be facing a brave new world or the end times.
Is it up to us what we will become?
I don’t think so.
Evolution is having its way with us all.
