There can be huge a rift in the mind between assigning the thought
“F*ck!”
and assigning the thought
“F*ck yes!”
to the same event.
But the longer I patiently wait out any antagonism, any grief, obstacle, discomfort, or rejection, the more the meaning of its presence unfolds, in layers and layers, often feeling like a sudden revelation.
While it doesn’t necessarily end the suffering or heartbreak, assigning a new idea to an event can suddenly offer a tremendous sense of freedom.
The
“F*ck yes!”
story is not always apparent at first, it can take a long time for it to coagulate into cognition.
But it seems to come, the more often I leave a welcome mat for it at the door of my consciousness.
Just you wait, you don’t know how creative a mind can be when you train it to be on your side.
