I visited this beautiful old cemetery in Kansas City and photographed it in the snow.
It is peopled with statues of somber fair maidens, and has lovely mausoleums and headstones.
The snow added the perfect ambiance.

I love how the moss, lichen have colored this stone.

Another of the simpler headstones I liked.

Of course there was a murder of crows. They broke the silence.

Cemeteries have personalities. There is a small old one in the parking lot of my nearest large chain grocery store.
Elmwood is possibly the most lovely one I’ve seen.
