The peo­ple of Amer­i­ca need to learn a hard les­son and if they’re pay­ing at­ten­tion and they’re ready to be hon­est with them­selves they’ll learn it from what we’re liv­ing through right now.

It doesn’t mat­ter that your neigh­bor Doris across the street is so nice when you see her wa­ter­ing her lawn and she brings you home­made fudge every Christ­mas and al­ways buys cook­ies from the Girl Scouts.

It doesn’t mat­ter that your nana taught you to sew or your pop pop taught you to fish and theyre both just harm­less old peo­ple who would nev­er hurt any­body and bought you your first bi­cy­cle.

It doesn’t mat­ter that the south is hos­pitable or the Mid­west is hard work­ing, in per­cep­tion or fact.

It doesn’t mat­ter if they’re your spouse,
best friend,
moth­er,
broth­er,
sis­ter,
fa­ther,
boss …

Any­one who still sup­ports this man is not re­al­ly a good per­son. It doesn’t mat­ter how nice they might seem or what­ev­er they’ve done for you or your con­nec­tion to them.

Their nice­ness is su­per­fi­cial and they have no moral or eth­i­cal com­pass.

I un­der­stand this is a hard pill for some peo­ple to swal­low, es­pe­cial­ly the drum cir­cle, peace lov­ing, think pos­i­tive, pot­head hip­pie kum­bayah types.

But we aren’t do­ing our­selves any fa­vors con­tin­u­ing to kid our­selves on this.
