Please also note that the friend was invited,
and the dog was not put in any cer­tain dan­ger by be­ing kept out of one room. 

The dog is not illegal,
or less of a dog, 

and if your con­ser­v­a­tive nextdoor neigh­bor wants to roll around on a pile of dogs in­sist­ing that al­ler­gies aren’t real, the vac­u­um­ing is not a threat to their free­dom to be ridicu­lous in their own house – 

BUT
we can’t ac­tu­al­ly make all of so­ci­ety into a pile of dogs,
any more than we can re­move them all, and al­ler­gies are not go­ing anywhere. 

That’s the point of hav­ing spaces.
