dirty movie

When I was a kid my par­ents had peo­ple over and they were watch­ing the Stones’ con­cert flick Let’s Spend the Night To­geth­er.

Us kids were shoo’d from the room. When I asked why, the adults said “be­cause this is a dirty movie.”

Re­al­iz­ing it was an open air con­cert I asked how it could pos­si­bly be dirty?

I’m pret­ty sure (but can’t re­call for ex­act­ly) it was my aunt Geri who told me that there were no bath­rooms on the stage so they went to the bath­room up there in front of every­body and that’s why it was in­ap­pro­pri­ate for chil­dren.

I be­lieved this for years even though it nev­er oc­curred to me to ques­tion why they wouldn’t just edit the poop­ing out.
