A beau­ti­ful thing I wish peo­ple could see is
through­out hu­man his­to­ry we have been cre­at­ing art ex­ag­ger­at­ing hu­man form.

Not just with women but men as well. The idea be­hind this – in­sane that it is – is to­day we can make these ex­ag­ger­a­tions real through body build­ing or surgery.

While I’m not say­ing we must go out and change our­selves – I’m rec­og­niz­ing it for what it is: An Art Form.
 

 

And art does­n’t nec­es­sar­i­ly
al­ways come out good, and it can be thor­ough­ly dis­gust­ing in the hands of the wrong peo­ple. There is no pre­vent­ing it – it is what it is.

It is a choice, it is also an idea that is sold to us – and one can choose to be what they wish to be based on the ex­ag­ger­at­ed con­cepts we are giv­en.

It’s like go­ing to a tat­too shop with­out some­thing in mind, pick­ing an im­age from a wall or an con­cept the artist comes up with – then jump­ing into this idea – some­one else’s idea – and end up re­gret­ting the whole thing.

 


 

We live in a world now
where we have great ac­cess to oth­er ways of be­ing. Recre­at­ing Our Own Truth. To­day it’s pos­si­ble to be male or fe­male, beau­ti­ful or strong, us­ing prod­ucts and pro­ce­dures to make us some­thing we wish we could be.

It’s all a com­bi­na­tion of mix­ing dif­fer­ent per­cep­tions into some­thing we feel we want. Of­ten things that so­ci­ety tells us we must have, whether we tru­ly need them or not. Smoke, mir­rors, per­fec­tion?

 


 

It is our minds
in­ter­twin­ing with oth­ers – mak­ing our dreams, de­cid­ing what we be­lieve is fame, what as­pects of our his­to­ry in­spires us to be some­thing else and who in the fu­ture we will dream we can be.
