because they deem certain words ‘bad’

Does anyone know

if you can say

fuck for 5 minutes

in a PG-13 rated film?

BECAUSE FUCKING WHY NOT   I ASK YOU

Because it’s a bad word?   WHAT THE FUCK IS A BAD WORD?

We have enough issues trying to figure out what is inherently good or inherently bad – we don’t even understand the concept of evil well enough to know if it does or doesn’t exist. It can’t exist – not alone – not without goodness being an opposing factor to define it in the first place.

Did the word fuck murder anyone? No.

Power does that. Power is a bad word. ‘Because’ is a bad word. ‘My word is law’ is a bad word. ‘Yes’ is a bad word and so is ‘No” because the people behind those words – and we all possess the power or ability to end a life – have used those words to end lives. We do it every day.

And I can’t say fuck in public.

And I think we can all agree human suffering, inflicted pain, and the ending of lives is BAD.

But not words. Those are just ideas. Not actions. Our brains possess the ability to evaluate these words and the ability to chose whether or not to act upon the translation we make of them.

I live in a world where I have the right of freedom of speech as it has been written down on down on a document … a while ago … and yet there are forces in this world, in my world, policing me from saying certain words in certain settings.

The very basis of a symbiotic society of humans is fucking language and there are still a significant portion of us who don’t like the sound of an f, a u, a c, and a k, TOGETHER.

Because why?!   BECAUSE WHY?!!!

So
I’ll say it right here and right now, if that annoying ass idiosyncrasy of American society was NOT feeling the need arise to say things like “Hey, watch your language,” We’d all be significantly less violent.

Yeah, I said it.
