The re­peal of net neu­tral­i­ty WILL tank my small busi­ness.

•  A busi­ness that I start­ed with cap­i­tal I saved work­ing a hu­mil­i­at­ing job for a dis­re­spect­ful and la­bor-abus­ing em­ploy­er be­cause I couldn’t find de­cent em­ploy­ment at the time.

•  A small busi­ness I built over al­most three years work­ing some­times 38 hours over a week­end.

•  A small busi­ness that helps oth­er small busi­ness­es com­pete against cor­po­rate gi­ants and non­prof­its achieve their fund­ing goals (BTW my clients will be su­per fucked too).

•  A small busi­ness I cur­rent­ly main­tain with a full time job work­ing for my men­tors in or­der to learn how to bet­ter build and run a com­pa­ny.

MOST IM­POR­TANT­LY TO ME

A small busi­ness I imag­ined one day lever­ag­ing the profits/success into build­ing the kind of com­pa­ny where I could ex­press my val­ues like fair hir­ing prac­tices, prof­it shar­ing with em­ploy­ees, and a strong and re­ward­ing com­pa­ny cul­ture. A busi­ness where I could carve out at least a small space to counter the end­less abus­es work­ers face in our im­bal­anced Cap­i­tal­ist sys­tem. A suc­cess­ful busi­ness that could set a prece­dent for work­ers’ rights and sus­tain­abil­i­ty for oth­er com­pa­nies be­cause lord fuck­ing knows we aren’t get­ting any­where at the pol­i­cy lev­el.
