If you want to un­der­stand why Amer­i­ca is the way it is, all you need to do is look at the num­ber of peo­ple freak­ing out about Lil Nas X.

Just imag­ine be­ing so mis­er­able and bor­ing and ig­no­rant that your lit­er­al in­ter­pre­ta­tion of the Bible and your hys­ter­i­cal Sa­tan­ic pan­ic pre­cludes you from en­joy­ing a piece of art as fan­tas­tic as Mon­tero:

 

The col­or schemat­ic, cos­tumes, sets, and sto­ry­line of that video are so much fun.

It’s tru­ly a piece of art and hon­est­ly I’m just hap­py to see some­one be so hap­py to be who he is and not hide it. That’s what makes it en­joy­able for me.

And all I can do is laugh that in the year 2021 when we have self dri­ving cars and space probes be­yond our so­lar sys­tem and tiny pock­et com­put­ers, peo­ple in in­dus­tri­al­ized na­tions are still be­liev­ing in lit­er­al in­ter­pre­ta­tions of a book writ­ten 2,000 years ago by peo­ple who didn’t know where the sun went at night.

Both Chris­tian­i­ty and the Bible are full of ho­mo­eroti­cism while at the same time con­demn­ing ho­mo­sex­u­al­i­ty. It’s great that the ab­solute worst peo­ple on the plan­et are get­ting this thrown back in their faces and hav­ing a big mad.

Hell, if Bowie were alive he’d be stan­ning him so fuck­ing hard.

We’re all lucky enough to be alive at the same time as Lil Nas X and mil­lions of peo­ple are wast­ing this amaz­ing mo­ment.

One has to won­der if these peo­ple are even ca­pa­ble of ex­pe­ri­enc­ing col­or or en­joy­ing an ice cream cone.
